Dear Friends,
I am so blessed to be here with you all, and I am so eager to get moving on so many fronts of our common ministries.
However, in consultation with the wardens, I will not be present at church in worship with you this weekend. This is due to illness within my family. Over a week ago, my son came down with covid. The rest of the family tested negative. He then was in quarantine. Then Barbara, my wife, developed some mild symptoms last Monday and tested positive. She has been in quarantine with him since. I got tested again and was negative again. (Barbara and I are fully vaccinated.) While the CDC guidelines indicate that I do not need to isolate myself as I am asymptomatic and negative, I am going to minimize my contact with others. This is to err on the side of caution and err on the side of love for you all.
I am optimistic that this Delta wave will pass soon. Meanwhile, I encourage all to take precautions, especially if you are immunosuppressed. If you are not vaccinated, I urge you to choose the vaccine. I pray for an end to this pandemic, and I look forward to returning very soon back to church with you.
If you would like to meet with me, I would be glad to do it outside with distance or via zoom.
Peace and grace,
Fr. Jonathan
