Dear Friends,
I want to recognize someone who has been a pillar of our church for a long, long time.
Pat Kearns will be with us on Saturday night for the last time before she moves back to Maryland to be with her family. Pat has been an integral part of the friendly culture of St. Monica’s for about fifteen years. She has served as a search committee member, as a Stephen Minister, as a chalice bearer, a newsletter editor, an acolyte, a lector, an usher, a greeter, and a choir member. She also describes her experience in EfM as “life-altering.” She appreciated being a part of our community as she was valued for just being herself, not for her professional accomplishments.
She will be dearly missed, and we look forward to her occasional visits when she is back in town.
