Dear Friends,

In thinking about “Pray, Love, Give,” I invite you this Sunday to consider love. What preconditions do we apply to our love? What judgments do we impose? Do we judge others? Do we judge ourselves? However, if we know that we are loved and not judged, we change. We are able to receive more love and, in turn, love others more fully than before.

On a related note, I want to invite you all to participate in the most important week of the entire Christian calendar – Holy Week. If you participate in Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and either Easter Vigil or Easter Day, then you will be changed. With Palm Sunday as the prelude, the story on Maundy Thursday allows us to see hope when we don’t have any. It allows us to experience emptiness and yet still experience the hope of Easter. When we read a book, it’s not worth just going to the last chapter – we need to know the whole story. So, please mark your calendars:

Sunday March 24th – 10:00am – Palm Sunday

Thursday March 28th – 7:00pm – Maundy Thursday

Friday March 29th – 12:00pm – Good Friday

Saturday March 30th – 6:30pm – Easter Vigil

Sunday March 31st – 8:00am and 10:00am – Easter

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Jonathan Evans
