Dear Friends,

As we move toward the end of Advent and enter the celebration of Jesus’ birth, we celebrate God’s incarnation. In the Christmas season, we remember that a little baby changes everything. God comes to us as a most vulnerable one, a helpless child totally dependent on those around him.

That God becomes flesh and becomes one of us should amaze us. Libraries have been written about this very assertion. What it means for us right now is that our lives matter. Our breath matters. Our pain matters. Our vulnerability matters. All of this is shared with the One who makes us and sustains us.

May this Christmas be one of prayer, giving, and loving.

In Christ,
Fr. Jonathan Evans
