What to expect during the service?

Services at St. Monica’s follow the Episcopal liturgy, which includes prayers, readings from the Bible, a sermon, and Holy Communion. The structure is welcoming, with clear guidance provided in the service bulletin.

Times of Service?

We offer two worship services each week, both enriched with music. A Saturday service is held at 5:00 p.m., featuring a reflective liturgy with music. On Sunday, a single service takes place at 10:00 a.m., accompanied by the beautiful voices of the choir, creating a vibrant and meaningful worship experience. Both services provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all who wish to join.

How long are the services?

Services usually last about one hour, giving time for worship, reflection, and music.

Is music part of the service?

Yes, music plays a vital role in both services. The Saturday service features music, while the Sunday service is enriched by the beautiful voices of the church choir. On special occasions, the worship experience is further enhanced with the addition of handbells and other instruments, creating an even more uplifting and memorable atmosphere.

Do I have to participate in Communion?

All are welcome, and while you are encouraged to participate in Communion, you are also welcome to remain seated if you prefer.

What do I wear?

We have a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Most attendees wear casual or business casual attire, but you’re encouraged to dress in whatever makes you comfortable.

Will I have to introduce myself?

While visitors are warmly welcomed, there is no pressure to introduce yourself during the service. You can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

Do I need to know the prayers and responses?

No prior knowledge is necessary. The service bulletin will guide you through the prayers, hymns, and responses.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! St. Monica’s is a family-friendly church, and children are always welcome at the services.  We also offer Sunday school during the 10am Sunday service for the age groups 4 to 11.

Is the Church accessible?
